A red dot on the gear means there is a new notification.

TV inputs#

On a television, a row of tiles under the clock and the weather lets you switch the TV to one of its external inputs: HDMI, component, SCART, VGA and so on. It does the same as the INPUT button on the remote. Hegemon does not change any system setting.

  • The row appears only on TVs. Boxes and sticks such as Chromecast, Shield or Mi Box have no inputs, so they do not show it.
  • With one or two inputs, each has its own tile. With more, the row has two tiles: the input you used last from Hegemon (the first one until you have used any) and Inputs, which opens the full list.
  • In the list, the inputs with a signal or a connected device come first and say Connected; HDMI comes before the others. The icon of a connected input is green.
  • A tile is named after the label set on the TV, plus the name of the connected HDMI device when the TV knows it, for example HDMI 2 · PlayStation.
  • If the TV refuses the change, a message says Couldn't switch to this input.

Streaming Providers needs an active subscription. Without one, that panel shows a subscribe prompt instead of the options.

Moving around#

  • Use Up and Down in the left menu, then Right to enter the options.
  • Left returns to the menu. Back leaves Settings.
  • A switch changes as soon as you press OK. There is no Save button, except in a few dialogs that say so.
