Hegemon Wiki Home screen

CitadelBeta

The Citadel tab: browse the Plex, Jellyfin and Emby servers you connected, with their rows, libraries and a full grid.

Beta

This feature is in beta and may change.

The Citadel tab is where the titles from your own media servers live: Plex, Jellyfin and Emby. It sits between Home and Echo in the top bar.

With no server connected, the tab says No media servers connected. Add one in Settings → Media servers. See Media servers.

How it is laid out#

The tab has four levels, one under the other. Each level hides what is above it when you move down.

  1. The top bar. It disappears when you go into the tab.
  2. Type pills: Plex, Jellyfin and Emby. Only the types you have a server for are shown.
  3. The server bar on the left: the servers of the type you chose. When you move into the content it shrinks to a narrow strip. When it is open it also lists the libraries of the server (movies, shows).
  4. The content: the rows of the chosen server.

Hegemon remembers the type and the server you used last.

Back, or Left from the content or the bar, goes up one level: content → bar → pills → top bar.

The rows#

For the server you chose you see these rows:

  • Continue watching
  • Up next
  • Recently added movies
  • Recently added shows
  • One row per library of the server, named after the library, in the server's own order.

Rows that are empty, or that the server does not answer, are skipped. If a server has nothing to show yet, the tab says No titles to show yet.

The rows fill in as they load: they appear at once, with the title and the poster from your server, and the details from TMDB are added on the same card a moment later. The cards do not move, so your focus does not jump.

A library row ends with a See all › card that opens the whole library.

The cards#

  • A row at rest shows posters at the size used on Home. The row you are on grows to about 1.5×.
  • The card in focus shows wide. After about a second and a half it turns over to an info side: title, year, rating, runtime, genres, synopsis, director and cast. This comes from TMDB. The technical details of your server (resolution, audio, subtitles, file size) are not shown yet.
  • Press OK to open the title's details, as on Home.

The library grid#

See all › opens the whole library as a grid of posters that scrolls down. More titles load as you get near the end.

At the top you see the library name and three sort pills:

  • Recently added
  • Title
  • Year

Left from the first column goes back to the server bar. Back closes the grid and returns you to the row you came from.
