Rooms

Every option in the Rooms panel: creating and joining rooms, roles and what each action does.

A room is a shared space for a group. You need Sync between my devices on first, see Devices & sync.

The main screen#

Item	What it does
Room list	Each room as name · N members. Select one to open it
Create a room	Asks for a name (Name your room), then Create. You become the creator
Join a room (enter PIN)	Type the PIN an admin gave you

With no rooms you see You are not in any room yet. You can be in at most 5 rooms.

Select a room to see its members, with you marked and each person's role (creator, admin or member).

Action	Who	What it does
Invite someone (show PIN)	Admins	Shows a PIN for a new person
Rename room	Admins	Changes the room's name
Leave room	Admins and members	You stop receiving its content. A confirmation asks first
Close room	Creator (instead of Leave room)	Closes it for everyone. This cannot be undone. A confirmation asks first

Select a member to manage them. Admins can use Make admin, Remove admin rights and Remove from room.

Choose Invite someone (show PIN) and give the PIN to the person. It lasts 10 minutes and works once.
They choose Join a room (enter PIN) and type it.
A screen says “name” wants to join this room with a confirmation code. Compare it with theirs, then approve.
They see Join “room”? with Invited by … · N members and choose Join room.

The other person declined
This is not possible: you are not an admin of this room, it is full, or the person is already a member
You are no longer in this room
You can be in at most 5 rooms
