Install and first run

Requirements, installing Hegemon from Google Play and what happens the first time you open it.

Requirements#

• A TV or box running Android TV or Google TV, Android 7.0 or newer.
• An internet connection.
• A Google account on the TV, to install from Google Play and manage the subscription.

Install#

1. On your TV open Google Play Store.
2. Search for Hegemon - Smart TV Launcher and install it.
3. Open it from the apps row, or from the Open button in the store.

You can also open the store page from your phone and choose your TV as the install target.

First run#

The first time you open Hegemon you will see:

1. A welcome and subscription screen. New users get a free trial. See Subscription.
2. Short tips that appear over the screen, for example how to open the QuickApps dock or how to filter in Discover. Each tip shows once.
3. The home screen, which fills with rows as content loads. The first load can take a short while.
