Play a title
What happens when you press Play, how to choose where to watch and how to set a default provider.
Hegemon does not host films or series. When you press Play, it helps you open the right app or source.
Streaming options#
After you press Play on a title, the Streaming options screen appears. It checks which services have the title and shows them as a row of logos.
- Select a provider to open it.
- Press Back to cancel.
- If the title is found nowhere, the screen closes by itself.
If you have set a default provider, Hegemon uses it directly when it can.
Choose which providers you use#
The Streaming Providers panel lets you switch streaming apps on or off and set a default. It needs an active subscription. See Streaming Providers.

If you installed add-ons, Hegemon can also play through its own player. See Internal Player.
