Accounts
What the Accounts screen contains, how to add OMDb and Fanart.tv keys, and what the two reset tools do.
Open Settings → App Settings → Accounts. The screen is called Accounts & APIs.
What you see, row by row#

Optional keys#
Two free keys make the app richer. You paste them in once. They are saved on your device and used only to call those services.
OMDb#
- What it gives you: IMDb, Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic ratings, and fuller plots.
- Where to get it: a free key at omdbapi.com/apikey.aspx.
- Without it: the app still works, with fewer ratings.
Fanart.tv#
- What it gives you: high-quality logos, posters and backgrounds, which replace missing TMDB images.
- Where to get it: a free key from your fanart.tv account.
- Without it: the app uses the TMDB images.
Entering a key#
- Select the OMDb API or Fanart.tv row.
- Type or paste the key in Enter API key… and choose Save. Cancel closes without saving.
- The first time you save a key, Hegemon checks it and posts a notification: OMDb configured or Fanart configured if valid, Could not verify OMDb or Could not verify Fanart if not. Look for it in the notifications panel.
The reset tools#
Both ask you to confirm, then tell you whether it worked. Neither touches your accounts or settings.
Reset SLM#
SLM is the Smart List Manager, the stored lists that feed your home rows.
- What it does: deletes the stored lists and their metadata. They are rebuilt on the next sync or screen load.
- Use it when: home rows stay empty after an update.
Reset database#
- What it does: deletes all the movies and series stored on the device. They reload with complete data, including OMDb ratings, the next time you view them.
- Use it when: titles show missing details, posters or ratings.
Try Reset SLM first
If your rows are empty, this is the quickest fix and it is safe.
